Developed under the theme “Powering Qatar’s Next Growth Story”, the initiative highlighted the growing contribution of SMEs to Qatar’s evolving economic diversification agenda, particularly through innovation, business growth and private sector development.
Commenting on the initiative, Ismail Mandani Al-Emadi, Executive Vice President for SME Banking at QNB Group, said:
“SMEs continue to play an important role in supporting Qatar’s economic diversification, driving innovation and strengthening private sector growth. As Qatar continues advancing the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030, empowering entrepreneurs and local businesses will remain essential to building a more diversified and sustainable economy.
At QNB, we are committed to being more than a banking provider by acting as a long-term strategic partner to businesses across Qatar. Through initiatives such as SME Local Business Boost, we aim to create practical and collaborative platforms where entrepreneurs can exchange insights, strengthen networks and discuss the opportunities and challenges shaping today’s business environment. These conversations are important in helping us better understand the evolving needs of SMEs and how we can continue supporting their growth journey in meaningful ways.”
The event explored how stronger collaboration, access to expertise and digitally enabled financial solutions can support SMEs across sectors including hospitality, retail, professional services and business support industries. Discussions also focused on the practical challenges and evolving needs facing SMEs, including access to finance, operational efficiency, digital adoption and long-term business resilience.
The programme also featured discussions with business leaders from Earth Cafe, Volume Cafe and Lean n Fit Restaurant, who shared perspectives on entrepreneurship, operational growth and customer engagement within Qatar’s evolving business environment.
As part of the event, QNB highlighted its expanding suite of SME banking solutions and digital capabilities, including digitally enabled solutions designed to improve accessibility, simplify onboarding and help businesses operate more efficiently.
